A gentleman called in asking for a material that could meet the following specification: Viton, Teflon or 26% nitrile TPR. I immediately began referencing our Geolast TPE product line that contains nitrile rubber as the elastomeric phase. Unfortunately, I could not tell him how much Nitrile Buna-N rubber is in our various grades of Geolast TPE because of proprietary reasons. However, I sent him our two-page product brochure and suggested he look at the physical properties to decide if he should sample one of the Geolast grades for the low oil swell gasket application.
