A customer emailed me looking for information about chemicals which are used in order to obtain foamed parts by injection molding and how to obtain different density foams. I responded that we do not have a lot of experience with foam injection molding of Santoprene™ TPV. The trials we have already tried were done with the foaming agent Hydrocerel BIH40 available at Clariant masterbatch supplier. Because of the rubber phase in Santoprene, it is very difficult to foam the material during injection molding process.
